Thirsty Thursday

Thirsty Thursday is a an enjoyable evening of squash where players compete on court for 25 minutes straight (NO BREAKS!!!) and try to score as many points as possible within that time. 

There is no weekly commitment to participate so you play when you can, but you need to let our Squash Pro, Jeff Hipfner, know that you want to play by 11:00am on the Thursday of that week. A schedule will be sent out early in the afternoon for the evenings matches.

General Information for Thirsty Thursday

You will be matched with a player at a similar level as best as possible, but depending on the people that sign up each week, be prepared to play against someone who maybe stronger or weaker than you.

The maximum number of participants is 42. Matches will be scheduled to start at 6:00pm, and then every half hour after. The latest a match will start is 9:00pm, but only if there are numbers to support the later matches. Otherwise, the last matches will be scheduled is 8:00 or 8:30pm.

Standings will be tracked over the year and will be posted below. For every Thirsty Thursday you participate, you receive one point. If you win your encounter, you receive another point. 

Thirsty Thursday Rules: There is a five minute warmup at the beginning of your scheduled match, then you play against your opponent for 25 minutes straight without a break. Players receive one point for every rally won. No player may lead by more than 10 points. The leading player will remain at a 10 point lead until their opponent is able to win a point. All other squash rules apply.
