Barbell Workout with Bill

Saturday April 5, 2025 to Saturday April 26, 2025

Saturdays April 5, 12 & 26 from 3-4pm

Members $100, Non-members $125

Limit 6 participants

Have you lifted a barbell and are looking for guidance to get stronger without injury setbacks? Aimed for intermediate to experienced members, this small group workshop series will focus on refining techniques while addressing individual specific needs and goals.

Participants will come away with advanced knowledge on continuing their progression with barbells lifts for years to come. These workshops will cover barbell specific warmups, movement prep, and the main lifts of barbell squats, deadlifts, presses and maybe power cleans, so you can feel confident lifting on your own.

Participants should have some experience using a barbell but being proficient is not a requirement.

At the end of the 3 sessions, you will have guidance on:

  • How to move better and more powerfully while learning about any imbalances or movement faults you may have.
  • Individual substitutions for movements if you have mobility issues.
  • How you should squat/pull/press for your body type and goals.
  • There will also be an emphasis on safety (how to lift without spotters).
  • Bracing and breathing patterns tips.

Capacity is limited to six to ensure ample time for one-on-one coaching with strength and conditioning instructor Bill Pain.

A separate workshop series for beginner lifters will occur at a later time.
