Keeping Your Fitness Goals
So now that you set a fitness goal, how do you stay on track to achieve it? It’s very common for people to start a fitness plan with great enthusiasm for a few weeks and then drop off after a few weeks because it feels hard or there’s always something that gets in the way. Achieving a fitness goal takes time, commitment and consistency.
Here are a few ideas to stay on track to achieve your goal.
- It’s easier to be consistent if exercise is part of your life routine. Pick a time of the day or times during the week for fitness that fits your schedule and stick to it!
- Make working out social – come with a friend or meet people at a fitness class. This will makes working out fun and create a commitment to walk in the club’s door.
- Do activities that are enjoyable. Don’t struggle on the treadmill if you hate running. Do things that you feel good afterwards and want to come back to.
- Change or expand your routine. Try something different. There are over 50 fitness, spin and yoga classes a week at the RC that can provide variety for you.
There’s a great community of positive people at the RC – let the Club instructors, trainers and members support your fitness journey and keep you on track!
